Renaissance is a luxury brand in the Marriott family, so you can expect the professional service and spotless rooms that are standard at such a resort. The location along a quiet and secluded beach north of the airport is ideal for those who don’t need nightlife or shopping binges, but the hotel provides a shuttle 3 times per day to Patong Beach for an extra fee if you do want those things.
There is a full Kids Club on site, and the entire hotel is well suited to families with children of any age. There is also a luxury spa and a wide range of water sports and other activities. The room rates start at quite a reasonable level in the high season, but the low-season prices are quite amazing, so this is a fantastic bargain when crowds are thin.

Reviews for the Renaissance Phuket Resort and Spa are excellent and almost universally positive. Being an international chain hotel, it’s not surprising that service and the staff get very high marks from just about every reviewer. The rooms are said to be large and luxuriously appointed, and the grounds are kept spotless as well, making for an all around great vibe.
The quiet and somewhat remote location is a positive feature for most guests, but those who booked without realizing that the resort is a long way from the Patong Beach nightlife, it is a negative. The free shuttle three times per day to Patong makes up for it, however, as that is a rare feature at any Phuket hotel. The room rates in low season are remarkably affordable, so this is a solid and good-value choice for those looking for a quiet stay.
