If you are coming to Bangkok for a short visit on your way to or from Phuket Island, one of the most popular area for luxury travelers is known as the Bangkok Riverside. There are about 20 luxury high rise hotels that overlook the Chao Phraya River, mostly on the busier eastern bank of the river. The area is also home to many high-end office complexes so it’s a magnet for the executives who require excellent service.
To be honest, the area isn’t particularly close to the main tourist attractions or the best shopping malls, but you can find everything you really need in this posh area. Better still, you can either hail a taxi or hire your own driver with a car for a reasonable price, and when you have access to a car this area is close enough to everything.
