For those who can afford it, the Sri Panwa Resort is likely the best family hotel on Phuket. It has only 52 suites and villas, each with a private pool, and in sizes ranging from a large studio all the way up to a 5-bedroom Residence Villa. It also features a stunning hilltop location that is as secluded as it is beautiful.
They have the Sri Panwa Kids Club as well as swimming classes, tennis courts, a game room, kayaking, as well as a private beach. Everything here is first class and the staff and service are exceptional. Guest reviews are nearly all glowing and return guests are frequent, which are both very good signs.

A luxury member of the Marriott Hotels family, the Renaissance Phuket Resort is large and professionally run, with extensive family facilities. There are 180 guest rooms and villas with as many as 3 bedrooms, and most include a private pool. The location in the north of the island is quiet and peaceful, while also being a rather short drive from the airport.
There is a Kids Club and an outdoor swimming pool, but the resort is also on a secluded and scenic stretch of beach, so all ages can have fun in the sand. The resort has 3 restaurants, including kid-friendly menus, as well as a pub and coffee house. The room rates in high season are very reasonable considering the facilities and the strong reviews, but during the off season the rates are phenomenal so this is one to consider all year round.

One of the more modestly-priced 5-star resorts in Phuket, the Dewa Phuket Hotel offers 96 suites and villas in a quiet and convenient location near the airport. The smaller class of rooms are the Junior Suites, and even these are large enough for small groups and well suited to longer stays, with a kitchenette and living room.
Of course there is a Kids Club, as well as a toddlers’ pool and babysitting service for the younger ones. There is also a plunge pool, and it’s within a short walk to a secluded section of beach. Even in high season the room rates are very reasonable for a 5-star resort, and during the off season the rates are even better by quite a bit. The Dewa is at the lower end of the Phuket luxury scale, but at these room rates it offers fantastic value.

With 136 guest villas, the Banyan Tree Resort is the flagship of the amazing Laguna Phuket complex, where 9 resorts within the beachfront complex allow guests to share facilities. This means guests have access to many of the finest activity and dining options in Phuket, including a championship golf course and upscale shopping.
Here you’ll find the Turtle Club for kids, and a common swimming pool and a wonderful sandy beach. There are also 4 restaurants and several lounges on site, in addition to those at neighboring resorts. All the villas here are huge and well suited to families, including a garden area for each one. With 143 rooms and suites, the Avista Phuket Resort is one of the best value luxury properties on the island, partly because of its quiet location a short walk from the beach, rather than directly on it. While the rooms don’t have private pools, the common pool at the center of the complex is huge and gorgeous. There’s also a Kids Pool and it’s a short walk down to a quiet part of Kata Beach as well.
There’s a Kids Club and a recreation room, but most of the action is outside at the pools or down on the beach. The rooms are hotel-style rather than villa-style, but they are large and each has a 42-inch LCD TV, a fridge, and a private balcony. In this price range the Avista Phuket is excellent value, as it’s one of the islands least expensive 5-star hotels and it gets good guest reviews as well.

Near the southern tip of Phuket and featuring 110 rooms and suites, the Royal Phuket Yacht Club Hotel is known for excellent service to go along with a stunning location. There’s an outdoor pool and a fitness center, but the private beach out front is the star of the show.
There’s a kids pool and quite a few water sports and other activities available, and tennis courts as well. The resort has two restaurants of its own, but it’s also a short walk from several other local eateries nearby, so guests have many great choices in various price ranges. This is another modestly-priced 5-star resort that gets rave reviews and many return guests, so booking early is recommended.

Located directly on a quiet part of the upscale Nai Yang Beach, the Indigo Pearl Hotel has 177 suites and a very impressive list of amenities. In addition to the beach itself, there are 3 swimming pools plus windsurfing, kayaking, diving, snorkeling, and much more. They also have 6 different restaurants, including a few that have Kids Menus.
They have a Kids Club and other family activities, which is partly why they have so many families who return each year. In this price range, which is fairly modest in the Phuket 5-star market, this one is a real winner. Read the reviews yourself and it will be hard to resist, though that’s good because it tends to get fully booked before many others.

Another that is a luxury member of the Marriott Hotels family, the JW Marriott Phuket Resort & Spa has 265 rooms and suites, all the way up to their 2-bedroom Ocean Front Pool Suites. With all of those rooms they are able to offer extensive amenities, including 3 swimming pools along with the beach, and about a dozen restaurants and bars.
Of course there is a Kids Club for the younger ones, but for older kids there is also table tennis, volleyball, and tennis courts to go along with the water sports and activities. As a larger chain hotel, room rates are competitive during high season, but during the off season they offer amazing promotions to help fill up while many competitors let staff go. Reviews here are also excellent, so this is clearly another great-value resort.

A medium sized resort just minutes away from the beach, the Sunsuri Phuket Resort consists of 132 rooms of varying sizes and with different views.Though the rooms do vary in size, they are each impressively large and feature a mini bar, private balcony, coffee maker, a king size bed and a 32″ LED TV. There are also 4 pool villas available if you wish to have your own pool to watch the kids play in.
Serving as both a couple and family friendly resort, parents will find an assortment of kid friendly activities including a children’s playground, the Sandbox Kid’s Club and a kid friendly pool that’s separate from the adult pool. There’s also babysitting on-site that will allow parents a few hours off to explore the shops and temples nearby.
