There are several different beach sections in Phuket, with some being more lively than others. A famous beach area that’s known for having a little bit of everything for everyone is Karon Beach. If you’re a Hilton fan, you won’t be disappointed at the Hilton Phuket Arcadia Resort & Spa, where you’ll find 665 rooms right across the road from Karon Beach. Just as with any other Hilton location, you’ll find luxury amenities in and out of your room. Some in-room amenities include air conditioning, high speed internet, 24 hour housekeeping, mini bar, balcony, seating area, black-out curtains and much, much more.
The resort itself also has a nice selection of things to and see including a fitness room a jogging track, sightseeing tours, barber shop, pool, playground for the little ones, a florist and a gift shop among other amenities. Some of the amenities do add to the cost of the room due to usage fees, but all in all the nightly rates here are very good and appeal to many different types of travelers.

Located on the hillside, the Madarava Resort & Spa Karon Beach houses 130 rooms scattered across 7.2 acres, making for a large resort when you count in all of the land space. Though there are 130 rooms, they are not placed together like most resorts but rather bunched into 39 different villas, providing a little more privacy than most other resorts. Rooms come with nice views as the resort is surrounded by lush greenery and waterfalls as well as Karon Beach to the front.
To get to the beach, guests will walk roughly 5 minutes where they can then relax, swim or snorkel. For those hours stayed at the resort, you’ll find 3 infinity pools, a fitness center, spa, gift shop, game room and several different classes such as towel folding and a Thai cooking class. Though families do stay here, this resort is much more suited to romantic couples.

There are quite a few family friendly resorts in Phuket, but perhaps one of the more noted ones is the Moevenpick Resort & Spa Karon Beach. Here guests will find themselves right across the road from Karon Beach, perfect for those who plan to visit the beach daily, with or without the little ones. The resort is also a short walk away from local restaurants and shops, allowing for nice little trips in and out of town.
Designed with families in mind, parents will find a Play Zone kids club on-site and many different kid approved food items at the on-site restaurants and buffet. Reviews are strong with many families returning year after year. With that said, couples are more than welcome to stay in one of the resort’s rooms, and many do. Though if you’re a couple looking for a private and romantic getaway, this resort may not be the best suited for your vacation.

Found only a few quiet blocks away from Karon Beach, the Centara Grand Beach Resort houses 262 rooms and is considered one of the most complete resorts in the whole of Phuket. Here you’ll find 4 swimming pools that are incorporated into a water park in the very middle of the resort as well as a large sports area that’s home to tennis courts and more. With that in mind, not all of the resort activities are priced in with your nightly rate, and you may have to pay extra, but past guests still believe that it all comes at a great value.
Each room ranges in size, though even the smallest are still considered large and come with a flat screen TV, private bathroom with an extra-deep tub, internet access, air condition and a private furnished balcony facing outward to the ocean. There are also 6 restaurants to choose from, retail shops, medical services, postal services and a spa. With so many different services, amenities and activities available all within the resort, you’ll be hard pressed to find a reason to leave.

Privacy reigns king, with 460 rooms spread across 40 acres, the Le Meridien Phuket Beach Resort offers guests peace and quiet while still residing close to town activities. Though the resort is quite large, guests will find easy access to the resort’s private beach, 10 different restaurants and bars and numerous other amenities including swimming pools, tennis, a fitness center and a spa.
If traveling with children, guests will find babysitting services and a discovery center to be top-notch and a great way to make sure the kids are having a good time too. Though the resort is far from the international airport, guests will find that they are close to town and other area attractions and activities such as Karon Beach, snorkeling, scuba diving, temples, hiking opportunities and the Jungcelon Shopping Mall.
